Creating A Commercial Office Cleaning Checklist

The lights are dimmed. The doors are locked. But the day isn’t over for your office. Cleaning time is here. Most business owners and managers leave before office cleaning time begins. For that reason, as a business owner, it is important for you to create a commercial office cleaning checklist to make sure you and your office cleaning company are on the same page. Here are three questions to ask yourself as your craft your list.

3 Questions to Ask Yourself When Crafting a Commercial Office Cleaning Checklist

1. What do you want to be cleaned?

This question might seem like a no-brainer, but you should always spell out your expectations to save on miscommunication later. List out everything: floors, trash, desks, windows, etc.

2. Do you have any special requests?

Do you have an elevator? Several staircases? Large windows? Specialty floors require specific cleaners? A particular corner of your office that collects cobwebs? Make sure you mention these items and how you want them cleaned on your office cleaning checklist.

3. How frequently do you want each item on the list cleaned?

If the windows facing the street needing cleaning more often than those facing an alley make sure to state that on your checklist. List how frequently you want bathrooms scrubbed, computer screens cleaned, and surfaces dusted. Don’t forget to list frequency for your special requests as well.
