4 Office Items to Have Cleaned

When it comes to the cleaning checklist of your work place, it’s good to vacuum and keep things dusted on a regular basis. However, there are a few areas that are easy to miss during the cleaning process. Thankfully, our commercial office services include the following areas that many of our customers initially overlooked, or, didn’t think about until we began cleaning for them.  Never overlook these items again! Here are the top 4 essential items to have cleaned in your commercial office!

4 Essential Items to Have Cleaned in Your Office

1. Telephone and electronics

It’s critical to make sure devices like telephone systems, headsets, keyboards, mouses, etc, are sanitized on a weekly basis to avoid the spread of germs between coworkers. There are a few ways to do this, but two of the easiest methods are to use a damp cloth with a spritz of cleaning product, or, a Clorox disinfectant wipe.

2. Refrigerators and microwaves

Many of the commercial buildings we clean include break rooms or kitchenettes, which are major breeding grounds for bacteria. It’s a good idea to schedule an extra service once or twice per month to disinfect inside the fridge, where bacteria like E. Coli is known to fester. Before you store your salad in the communal refrigerator, you might just want to double check when it was cleaned last!

3. Light switches and door knobs

These probably get overlooked more than any other area in the office, and should be wiped down during each cleaning. It would be wonderful if people applied hand sanitizer after sneezing or coughing in their hands, but unfortunately most people go for the door knob without giving their hands much thought. Keeping these areas cleaned consistently is a smart way to avoid germs from quickly transmitting!

And last but not least…

4.  Windows and blinds

If your commercial office has windows and sets of blinds, then it’s important to wipe clean the shutters and polish the glass panes consistently. Not only will this give your office a more appealing look for your co-workers and potential customers, but it helps reduce the amount of dust mites or allergens that settle on your blind and window sill.
